Belle the Missionary Dog is excited. Halleluiah the camper van is packed. The Pocket Full of Quarters Lady is prepared, prayed for, and packed up. It’s that time again – time for the 2009 Pocket Full of Quarters Missionary Journey across America. This year’s theme is “Give ‘em Heaven” and that is just what Cheryle and Belle hope to do.
Each year Christian speaker, missionary, and author Cheryle M. Touchton, hits the streets of America to lead people to Christ, minister where she can, and hand out quarters, which represent the free grace of God. “A pocket full of quarters” is a metaphor for being prepared and Cheryle uses this object lesson to demonstrate how to be prepared for life and eternity. This year’s journey will start out in Florida and head to the Northeast. Cheryle will spend time ministering in places like Philadelphia, New York, and Washington DC. Each day Cheryle and Belle will climb in Halleluiah and head where the Holy Spirit leads. They stop when they see people and let the Holy Spirit work.
