Prayer Tip: mnemonics
Prayer Tip: mnemonics

I have been married to the same man for 31 years. One of the joys of long-term marriages is that you still learn things about your partner.

I asked him how often he prayed for me in a day.

He said that he reminds himself to pray for me by praying every time he sees a car that is the same brand as mine. I am driving a very popular car. He also confessed that he remembers to pray for our daughter every time he sees a VW bug.

What a great idea. Get a mnemonic to remember to pray often for people that you have committed to pray for. Make it have something to do with the individual. Make it something that you will encounter regularly.

It is also probably a good idea to make it something positive. I'm really glad he picked my car and not someone that walks slightly pigeon toed.

We are instructed to pray continually. This will help.

"Pray continually." 1st Thessalonians 5:17 NIV

Now that I think about it, he never answered the question I asked. I still don't know how many times he prays for me in a day.
