Family Matters
It will be a few more days before I get a chance to write up any of my stories or publish my bulging stash of photos. I am currently spending a few days with my daughter, Kelley, as we travel from Jacksonville to the Seminary in Texas where she will be spending the next two years or so.
As strongly as I feel about my current journey and the calling I feel towards it, I feel even stronger the need to establish and follow priorities – and one of those is making sure that Kelley begins her Seminary schooling knowing that she is cherished by her parents and by God and that she has our support in her calling and her ministry.
What better way to reinforce this message than by spending a week meandering from Florida to Texas, talking, praying, listening to hours of spiritual CDs and sermon tapes, going to church, playing and relaxing?
Just to let you know how much my family really matters to me, I even let them all gather around my husband and me the night I came through town to pick up Kelley to give us a joint 50th birthday party! (Oops, did I just say that?). Well, it was a wonderful gift to be able to spend a few hours with so many of my relatives after being on the road for so long.
Don’t worry, I’m still taking lots of pictures. And I’m still talking to lots of people. So, assuming the Lord and AAA gets us to Texas as planned, I promise to flood these pages with plenty of stories and photos starting next Wednesday.
