Prayer Request – A Father And A Daughter
Please pray for this father and his daughter. I spent an hour today talking to the daughter and they both need our prayers.
The father has cancer and is facing serious surgery on September 16th. While the prognosis looks good, the surgery that will save his life could possibly alter the quality of his life. Pray that he will be healed from the cancer and have the quality of life that he desires.
Pray for his dedicated daughter. She is working very hard. She is tired. There are not enough hours in the day to meet the many demands that she has.
She is taking care of her father and is concerned about him. Cancer is demanding and things will get worse before they get better.
She has a very high-pressure job. She is also a small business owner and under stress from that.
Many of her adult family members depend on her. Some of them are having medical and personal problems that are concerning her and taking her time and energy. She is working hard to help them all.
She spends her life taking care of everyone around her while managing a very successful career. She is a good wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and employee. She works hard to do everything perfectly. She has high expectations of herself and everyone around her.
Pray that she will take care of her self. She needs some of that nurturing that she gives her family, friends, and customers.
She has not had time to develop close nurturing friendships. Pray that she will find Christian friends that will nurture her and love her as they love themselves. Pray that she will find people that will love her with the love of Christ.

Love your neighbor as yourself.'

She is not involved in church. Pray that she will take the time to find a loving church to worship the God that she already knows.
Ask God to give her a place of worship that will be a safe haven and a small taste of heaven for her. She so desperately needs a place to lift her spirits.
May she find the incredible joy available to her through corporate worship of the saints. Pray that she will find the relief of joining the “people of his pasture” and be part of the “flock under his care.”
Psalms 95:6-7
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

Ask God to help this daughter relax and know she is wonderful just the way she is. Pray that she will realize that true perfection is a free gift and comes through Jesus Christ.

Pray that she will have time to find joy in the sunrises and the flowers. Pray that her difficulties will pass and she will be able to shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
