The End and Yet The Beginning

The End and Yet The Beginning
My trip has ended. I arrived home on the evening of September 23, 2002. I dropped my best friend Nancy at her home and went to my home to spend a delightful evening with my sweet husband.
I was grateful to be home. As I looked around, I realized several things:
There is nowhere I would rather live than in Jacksonville, Florida.
There is no view I love better than the one in my backyard.
There is no person I would rather be with than my husband of 31 years.
I am extremely blessed by my children, Chris, Whitney, and Kelley.
I am blessed to have wonderful and supportive family, church, and friends.
As I arrived home, I could not help singing the great hymn, “Count Your Blessings, Name Them One By One.”
Genesis 49:25 Because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, (from New International Version)
The trip was glorious. God guided and protected me for the entire four months.
He sent me incredible people along the way. I have new friends that I hope to always stay in contact with. I connected with old friends and thank God for them.
I met many people in pain. I would feel so hopeless if I did not know that God loves them. They will find relief if they will only accept this love and sink into His comforting arms.
God’s beauty is indescribable. We worship a God that is the master artist. His holiness is all around us.
I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity. I thank God for all of you that went with me. You were such an encouragement. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Now the real work begins. To whom much has been given, much is demanded.
Luke 12:48 From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (from New International Version)
I am feeling the burden of these demands. God expects me to use the journey to reach people for him. Pray for me as I try to honor Him, His leadership, and His gifts.
I will continue to write stories and put them on the web. There are so many stories that I did not have time to write.
I will continue to post prayer requests. Send me your requests.
I will update you on the next steps that God is calling me to.
I am working on a book that describes this journey. Pray for this.
I pray daily that you will love our God of pure love with your entire heart, soul, strength and mind.
Luke 10:27 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (from New International Version)
I pray that you rely on the love God has for us and live in love.
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. (from New International Version)
