Update - Pocket Full of Change
|
Dear Readers…
I thought you might enjoy having an update on my ministry. The past few months have been busy and exciting. Since returning from the journey, Pocket Full of Quarters, I have had the privilege of speaking at, teaching, and leading churches, community gatherings, and business groups.
The Offerings listed on the Hope Page have come out of the needs of my various audiences. People seem to really appreciate the combination of spirituality, Bible Study, multimedia, humor, music, and adventure. The pictures I took on the trip are turning out to be very useful in my presentations. Many of my friends and family are musicians and some have been willing to accompany me and help with presentations.
The website ministry has continued. During the Christmas Holiday, I wrote a “Purpose Driven Advent Series” and was blessed by the number of people that took time from their busy season to read this. You can go to the Daily Journal in the month of December to read this series.
As you can see, we have made some updates to the website. There is now a search feature that allows readers to type in a key word to find inspirational stories/devotionals on topics that are of interest to them. While www.pocketfullofquarters.com still works, so does www.pocketfullofchange.org.
You may be wondering about the book. I have been writing continually and still feel led to complete it. I went to the Florida Christian Writer’s Conference and was humbled by what I had to learn about writing and publishing. I went home immediately to revise my work. I have now turned book proposals into several publishers. Two publishers have expressed interest and another has “accepted it.” Currently Pocket Full of Quarters is moving through various committees. We will see what God has planned.
My current understanding of God’s mission and will for me is to simply offer myself to speak on any terms offered, including gratis. Most people seem to prefer a love offering. I am still willing to use remaining frequent flier points to fulfill God’s calling. Any help you could give me in fulfilling this mission would be appreciated.
I feel joy, peace, and purpose as I walk through my days. I love speaking, studying, and writing. I continue to feel blessed to be called into this ministry. I appreciate your friendship and support and ask for your continued prayers.
Blessings,
Cheryle M. Touchton
