Why Seek Wisdom?
For the Lord grants wisdom. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will fill you with joy. Happy is the person who finds wisdom. Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do. If you live a life guided by wisdom, you won’t limp or stumble as you run. Proverbs
Using God’s Word To Seek Wisdom Will…
1. Strengthen your faith.
And I now entrust you to God and His care and to His wonderful words that are able to build your faith and give you all the inheritance of those who are set apart for Himself. Acts 20:32
2. Guide your decisions
Your word is a Lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105
• Abraham Lincoln says the Bible is the best gift God has given man.
• Test: Do you find yourself confused a lot of the time? Do you lack direction? You may need more of God’s wisdom in your life.
3. Enhance your life
Don’t let this book of law depart from your mouth. Mediate on it, day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8
Carry out My instructions. Don’t forsake them. Guard them for they will lead you to a fulfilled life. Proverbs 4:13
• Success in God’s eyes: Right living, peaceful relationships, being in harmony with God and other people.
• Test: Do you find yourself unfulfilled or you find always wanting something else, searching? Are you searching for that little bit that’s really going to complete you? If so, you need more of God’s wisdom in your life.
4. Change your heart
For the Word of God is full of living power. It’s sharper than the sharpest knife cutting deep into our innermost and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Hebrews 4:12
• Test: Do you like who you are? Is your character anything like the heart of God? If the answer is no, you need God’s wisdom in your life.
