Peace Process Pray • To forgive your enemies • For your enemies • For wisdom • For forgiveness of personal inappropriate behavior • For knowledge of His will • For courage to act Proverbs 15:29 God closely attends to the prayers of God loyal people. Empathize • With your enemies • With those you have hurt Luke 6:28 Pray for those who mistreat you. Ask God to safeguard their health. Ask God to bless their families. Ask God to draw them into the kingdom of God. Ask God to open their eyes for their need for a savior through Jesus Christ. Act • Listen to wisdom • Stop being an enemy to others • Do good to your enemies • Love your enemies Luke 6 Do good to those who hate you Confess • Resentments • Inappropriate Behavior • Unforgiving spirit • Inappropriate Words Proverbs 28:18 He who conceals his sins does not prosper Emulate Emulate God as demonstrated in the Bible and through the life of Jesus Christ • Courageous - Jesus used a whip to stop problems in the temple! • Honest - Jesus told the woman at the well to change her behavior • Loving - Jesus loved everyone • Forgiving - Prayed for tormenters while they drove iron spikes through his hand Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God therefore as dearly loved children and live life of love just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
