Prayer Request - Dale

I opened my wallet to pay admission for my next adventure and to my horror, all of my cards were gone. I rushed to the car to search and breathed a sigh or relief. I bought a new wallet a few weeks ago. It’s a great wallet except for one thing – the plastic cards fall out. Thankfully, the cards were all over the car floor. As I went through them, I noticed that while all of my credit cards were there, my travel cards (KOA, Good Sams…) were gone. I searched the car but to no avail. I called my campground and the owner was kind enough the check where I parked and the bathhouse. The cards were not there.

I tried to shake off the gloom and doom of the loss. After all, it could have been worse. Losing my travel cards only meant a loss of 10% off my stay at campgrounds. Loss of a Debit card could have been devastating. I went in inside the museum but no matter how I tried to enjoy myself, the loss of the cards had stolen the pleasure of the day.

When I was about halfway through my exploration, I received a phone call from a number I didn’t recognize. “Hello,” I said warily, not knowing if cell phones were allowed in the museum.

An excited voice said, “I’m from the campground. A customer found your cards out by the dog walk.” I was thrilled and tried not to think about what had happened to my cards between the times I walked the dog and someone retrieved them.

“Thank you so much for calling. You’ve made my day fun again,” I said joyfully.

“Just say thanks for Caller ID,” she said cheerfully.

The next morning, I went over to get my cards. I took her a copy of my book as a thank you for the considerate phone call. As we talked about my calling from God I asked, “Are you a Christian?”

She looked so sad. “Yes,” she said. “I am but my husband isn’t. Please pray for him.”

I come to you today asking for you to pray for her husband, Dale. Pray that he will see the love of Christ in his wife and be drawn to it. Pray for his salvation.

John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. NASU
